In my Toronto-based studio I strive to create signature pieces. First, I spent many years training in the Japanese method, by throwing a simple cylinder until I perfected my technique. You can see this in the fineness of my work. As an artist, I also spend a lot of time coming up with new designs. This led me to start working with glass. I began making fused glass spreaders to accompany my stoneware and porcelain pieces and fell in love with the medium. This has since morphed into the work you see today. I have devised a way to frame my fused glass art so that you can enjoy it on the wall, or in a window.
